Ellen DeGeneres – Portia de Rossi
Talkshow host, comedian, writer, and LGBT activist Ellen Lee DeGeneres married actress Portia de Rossi in August 2008. Portia and Ellen had been dating since 2004 but it wasn’t until California overturned the law against gay marriage that they became engaged. DeGeneres came out as gay in 1997, sparking an almost cult-like interest from tabloids which soon stunted her career. DeGeneres has authored four publications, and in Love, Ellen, DeGeneres, she explained how the media coverage about her personal orientation led her into depression. Portia DeGeneres hasn’t appeared in any recent TV shows or films, but her last most notable guest roles were in the TV Shows Scandal and Santa Clarita Diet.
