BRITTNEY GRINER – CHERELLE GRINER
Britney Griner first met Cherelle Watson, the woman who would be her future wife, when both of them attended Baylor University. Watson was majoring in political science and government. They made acquaintance at the sub-area over confusion about a milkshake. The two established a close friendship and stayed in contact even after graduating.
After Griner separated from her first wife, Glory Johnson, in 2016, they started dating in 2017. In August 2018, the WNBA star popped the question, and Watson said yes. One year later, they were married. After getting married, Watson took up Griner’s last name and is now Cherelle Griner.
